Wrong date on the ticket?!?

Hey,
I just wanted to know what if you received a ticket from a cop but he wrote the wrote date.. like lets say he wrote yesterdays date? could that be used against him at the court? because you can easily claim that on the date that is noted on the ticket, you werent even on that road ? or that wont worK?

Nope. The Provincial Offences Act specifically permits that errors on a charging document can be corrected at trial.

Besides, have you ever heard the phrase, "on or about the date of ......, you are charged with having committed the act of ......, contray to the Highway Traffic Act section...."

The phrase "On or about" leaves a lot of room for leeway on the date and time.
