Hey Guys and Gals,

So I got caught going 61khm in a 50kmh zone. 11 over which is pretty tight I think, anyway speeding is speeding no argument here.

Well the Cop put the wrong car year in the year spot he put 05 instead of 93. Can I get off on this if I fight it?

no, he can legally change the info on the ticket in court right in front of the judge

thats the sticker year...not car model year, its the plate portion of the ticket

u cant win on any techinical errors like that, unless its wrong make of car, or street, or a complete different name

just fight it...most likely get it reduced to more then half the price....just time missed from work....lost wage to get a reduced ticket....your call

even if its the wrong street they still wont drop it, ive sen cops sign off tickets down at wasaga that are from TO and dont know the street names, the people stil get nailed

are you referring to the date that is to the right of your licence plate number? I think that refers to the year that the ticket is given out.. both of my unnecessary noise tickets say 05 there as well.. unless they really don't bother to find the year of your car and just put the year that it is instead.. I dunno..

strange, back in 2001 or 2002 i got a ticket for speeding (60 in a 40, and got off everything because he wrote down the wrong street name on the ticket (as opposed from his notes that i recieved through disclosure).

i forget what site i read this on but on it listed a lot of things of the cop makes a mistake on the ticket then when you go to court to fight it, you would win 4 sure, but no too sure where i read this at...i'll try to find it
