get some legal aid. In the judge's eyes theres no excuse for speeding because yo control the speed of your vechicle!

well, your a month older than me, so i'd recommend to just talk to the judge and tell him that you cannot afford the high fine, along with the 3 year rise in insurance rates if you are convicted, and college tuition, etc etc

do you have any tickets previously? if yes, what were you convicted with?
if you havent, then explain it's your first and last one

good luck

it was your first ticket so you should get an early resolution notice in the mail and it will be dropped down, or you can say no to the early resolution and take it to court

If they were using a laser rader....no argument. (they have to point the laser at your car to get a reading....ussualy the lic plate)

If it was a regular ka band radar.....get a layer.....he can help.

Older KA band radars use a thimg caled the doplar effect. It sends out a signal, recieves the return singal.....then sends it out again......it measure the first and second times, then calaculates the differnce to arrive at a speed.

That only bad thing, (or good, depending who you look at it) is, it only tell you the difference in time/speed......what it dosn't tell the cop is if the car is comming towards him or away.....which car it is, and what lane it's in. Also, it get's even more inacurate when you increase the distance between the radar on the car it's trying to "catch". The "signal" gets wider and wider the farther it travels.

So if it is a regular radar (not a laser), a good layer will be able to get you off on this ticket, but he needs to know alot of things for him/her to be of any use to you. ie.....where where you.....where was the cop when he "clocked" you.......the weather......how many other cars where there......what time of day was it........where was it, ie highway, residencial street....was the sun in the cops eyes......ect.

Go talk to a lawyer.
