Use of Laser Guns

Hey, if I get a speeding ticket, and the cop says he used a laser gun, is the ticket valid if he was sitting in his car? Because, what I've heard is that laser guns only work when the cop is outside, and the gun is placed on a tripod of some sort. If the cop is sitting inside his patrol car, is the reading accurate?

If the radar is MOUNTED to the car, then yes. A lawyer a while back told me that the radar must be mounted to get an accurate reading. never asked about a hand held one though.

Just ask lawyer.:working:
