Cutting Bump stop

Cutting Bump stop

Im lowering my ride, looking at a 1.5" drop. How much do i cut of the bump stop?

you cut the bumpstop in half and use the top part.

i cut mine inhalf and mine stil clap i need shorter struts i think i lowered the car alot tho
the asshoel be4 i baught the car cut the springs wel he only cut 3 springs he forgot to do the front drivers side the car was on a funny angle when i baught it wierd guy eh ?????

I think in the h&r sport manual it says to leave the bumpstop in tact and thats a 1.8 drop and 1.6

i always cut them regardless. about 1/4 off the bottom and use the beefier top part

what about with a set of H&R race springs? when i put mine in my 92 hatch, i left the bumpstops intact, should i have infact cut them? i had bought them used so i have no instructions with them or anything, i've drove it for a year, and it has seemed to drive awesome, no excess bouncing or seeming to bottom, but since i'll be pulling everything apart come spring should i be cutting them while apart?

in my eibach pro kit it said to cut 3/4" to an 1" off....
