Amp Cutting Out Why?

My amp seems to be cutting out and i can figure out why. When ever I raise the volume the amp cuts out for like a second then comes back. THe weird thing is that it doesnt always do it. I thought it was a power failure but i watched the amp and there is always power, then i though it may be over heating but the amp is still cool to the touch. It happens when the bass hits on harder songs. I cant figure out what is wrong. I checked all the connections twicked the settings but it keeps doing it. Can anyone give me any other suggestions of what may be wrong.

thanks

kevin

Shouldn't be a gain problem, since you said it wasn't overheating, must be a connection issue. Check the wiring, must be wiring, If you sound system is over 500 rms did you get a aftermarket high output altenator and a deep cycle battery (not necessarily a problem, but will become a problem.) My suggestion is from reading your post, your wiring is wrong somewhere.

Hm.. I guess your battery is dieing out. Turn up your bass....Your interior lights and drive and see if the light is dimming. If it is, get a new battery and altenator. You could put on caps but that's just a bandage.
