Help tranny wont engage
So i just finished my swap into my 98 civic (b16), and when i put it together i didnt have much tranny fluid, so i put what i had in(rougly 1.5-2 L). i wanted to let it idle, to clean it up abit.
When i went to pull it in the car popped out of gear and not the gears dont engage at all, i can have it in first and let off the clutch completly. do you think it could be because i dont have enough fluid or is somthing wrecked? please let me know asap
Thanks in advanced.

Fluid won't cause the trans to pop out of gear. Your trans should only hold about 1.8L of fluid anyway, that is if it's manual. I'm guessing it is by the rest of your thread. I think you need to check to see if the drive shafts are properly installed fully into the trans. If one popped out then you won't be able to move even though your in gear and the clutch is fully released. If they're installed fully then maybe check linkage. Did you use the original D series linkage for the swap or did you swap that also? Next I'd check mounts if you still haven't found the issue. Last and not because it's least likely but it's also the hardest to check, you may have somehow installed the clutch wrong or something when installing the trans to the motor. I don't thing this is possible really but people seen to do things I thought you couldn't sometimes when it come to doing things wrong. Not trying to say anything about you personally just a generalization of what can happen.
Good luck and let us know. Help threads are more helpful to people who searched for similar issues to their own when the answer to what was the culprit is included in the thread.
