Hi everyone.

So I have a 1996 Civic Hatchback DX, blown engine, which will be swapped for a D15B OBD2 3-Stage VTEC, and I will have the P2J (OBD2) Automatic VTEC ECU, minus the harness.
-the transmission is automatic

From all the research I've done and with all I've come to so far, this seems to be the most feasible swap, except here is my dilemma...

**The ECU will look for the MULTIMATIC transmission the ECU and Engine came with...how big of a problem is this??
**The transmission is from a D16Y7 non-VTEC...but it will be used on a VTEC engine. What kind of problems can this cause?
**will this engine and ECU swap work with the D16Y7 Tranny?
**and are there any other problems anyone knows of that i will run into?


Any and every bit of help is much appreciated.

There's probably the chipped ECU route, but everyone who chips them does it for MANUAL cars only.
