on a 2000 stock SIR when does vtec engage?

on a 2000 stock SIR when does vtec engage?
i was just curious to when the VTEC engages on a stock 99-00 SIR?

I heard it was 5400 to 5500 rpm for Cdn models and the Si (US) was 5800

you can hear it,
its loud, and its kicks in harder... and speeds accel at blind speeds that ur rady for take off
