Muffler ticket..

How do you guys handle a muffler ticket? Personally, I don't have the $110 dollars to pay out of my pocket right now since school tuition took it all.

I took a look at the ticket the first line where it says:

Belives and certifies that on the day of: 2006, 10, 04 11:04AM

I noticed that the day hasn't happened yet. Is that a mistake on the cop's part that I can take advantage of or am I just fooling myself?

btw, I don't know if this is a word or not but the cop wrote "Imprope muffler"... I guess they don't teach abc's at police school.

Fight it and spend that $110 to go back to stock so you don't have to worry about getting another in 6 months.

I got the same one this past Saturday around 12 am. My friend said fight it but plead guilty with explanation. I had my Magnaflow 2.25" inlet and 4"outlet for about over three years now and never had a problem with the cops. I was pulled over earlier this year about my white signal light in my tail lights but it was only a warning and no ticket. I also live close to a police station. I always pass by the police station and cops see my car and there like behind me when im in the intersection and never pull over. This is gonna be my explanation when i set my court date. The cop that gave me a ticket was an ******* and i was just in a wrong place and a wrong time. I will update you guys.

or maybe it's that this cop was the first one to do anything about it. it's unncessary to have anything over 4" on a civic, and that's why people in the modifying industry like people on this site get a bad rap. just think that maybe you deserved it all along and this cop was just having a ****ty day, and decided not to look the other way this time.
