Talking legal issues on lightings

alright guys... sorry if i'm annoying but i did not get good answers from my other threads in other sections regarding the signal lights...

someone kindly told me that blue signal light is definitely illegal, i sorta understand that...

but does signal light must be AMBER? can it be clear white? i see on the highway act (not sure if i interpret it right or they were not too clear), but it says, the signal light has to be visible that indicates a change in lanes or a turn... they just say "visible", isn't clear white consider VISIBLE?

i might sound stubborn and try to pick out little mistakes... but then... i also know when it comes to arguing with the cops, we're never in the good position... so i guess i just want to know what's the best i should do...

i just got my one-piece black housing halo headlights... i find it cool if i also use the white or blue bulb for the signal... i originally have a blue bulb because my corner was clear so it emits clear white... but now it emits bluish since the one-piece is like perfectly clear.... so i want to know FROM YOU GUYS EXPERIENCE AND OPINION...

should i get clear white for signal bulbs or should i just get the amber and lose some style?

thanks!

white or amber is fine (legal). Blue is a no no. As for rear turn signals, they HAVE to be amber. White signals in the rear is illegal because the color white is only intended for reverse.

i guess you're having same bulbs as me... the lights i blink (emits) is super-white... very bright and white.... but then when you don't look at the lights it emits, but at the bulb when it blinks, u see something that is blue blinking instead of white....
get what i mean?

let me word this better... the lights it emits is white... but when you look at the bulb (headlight), you see something blue blinking... hahaha i hope this makes more sense...

am i correct? because that's the bulb i have too.... nice white... but bulb is blue....

showcivic: where do you get those DARK ORANGE BULBS? and how much?

OK, for those who gave me opinions on WHITE is legal... where do i find the WHITE TURN SIGNAL? how much are they?

No they are not illegal if they are pure white, if they emit blue they are illegal. The police can still give you a ticket for white turn signals but I highly doubt it would stand up if u fought it in court.

okay...front turn signals can be white and I mean white as in white! not bluish white, kinda blue, hyper white etc. they can be natural light colour but it is all iffy and up to the discretion of the police officer. Also, the front headlight housing or somewhere on the front side portion of the car must have an amber reflector (headlight, bumper etc) and if that reflector isnt there u need to have an amber bulb illuminated in that position at all times.

keep it safe and stay amber signals...if u dont want the amber bulb visable purchase the bulbs that look chrome/silver but when on emmit amber light...they are legal and look good in "euro" clear corners and 96-2000 headlight housings.

in the end you can risk it and go with hyperwhites or whatever but its not worth the hassle that one freak time u get a ticket for it

scarlemthug & t-dot-sir - i happen to stumble across some at the bodyshop (at work) one day, so i decided to try them and they look great, esp at night time ... for the rear i've changed them to stock white (clear bulb) ... i'm not taking anymore chances

super whites are illegal depending on the officer's discretion ... it's like a 50/50 chance of getting away with it ...

Actually in the HTA of Ontario blue signifies snow removal equipment not emergency vehicles.

Straight form the HTA:

Flashing blue light on snow-removal equipment

(31) No person shall, while operating a road service vehicle on a highway, plow, salt or de-ice the highway or apply chemicals or abrasives to the highway for snow or ice control unless the road service vehicle is equipped with a lamp producing intermittent flashes of blue light visible for a distance of 150 metres from all directions. 1996, c. 33, s. 11.

Restriction on use of flashing blue light

(32) No person shall operate a lamp that produces intermittent flashes of blue light on a highway except in the circumstances described in subsection (31). 1996, c. 33, s. 11.

actually its flashing blue that signafies a snow removal vehicle if you wanna get technical:P. Those are some nice bulbs man, i am thinking of getting some bright orange/amber bulbs or some pricey but long lasting and bright LED turn signals.
