Very true.

But if you knew that the MTO a government office sold them as well, you might have a chance...

I don't believe anymore, but for a while there..

its all a conspiracy! ha...

the one and only time a cop had a problem with my driving was when I tried to rev my engine and scare off picketing secretaries, and stopped my car last minute and a cop came out of nowhere and said "Maybe your insurance company would like to know about this" and asked my phone number etc. and stood behind my car for 5 minutes writing down somthing but he said nothing about my plate covers...

Blue covers are only illegal if you drive a modified car.

A friend has blue covers on front & rear plates for almost a yr and haven't recieved a ticket yet. Then again she drives a Nissan 4dr.

coloured plate covers are for off road use only.

This means you may get a ticket for it.

What don't you understand???

The coloured plates make it harder to read your plates.

It doesn't matter if MTO or David Miller sold them.

THEY ARE ILLEGAL. Case closed.

meh the way i look at it.........if ur in a civic, ur gonna get harrassed if u have the typical Blue turn signal ****s, blue plates etc. . .all associated with street racers or racing. . . according to cops....just play it safe all the time...do things that u know the law will let u get away with......and there are a lot of things if u read up on ur laws and learn the language well. . .

I'm positive they are illegal. I got stopped by a ******* cop who was just looking for **** to get me on, he booked me on the blue plate cover, $115, then he booked me on my Intake. I asked him why i got a ticket for the cover, and he said they were marked illegal almost 4-5 months ago.

We'll this is the story. I actually got 2 tickets for them. The first one I got 2 years back when my car was white. Bastard said that the digits weren't visible enough to see them complete bs. I took pics of my front and rear end with the covers in every dimension you can and also from further distances and some night shots to prove th ethe judge that my plates were indeed visible with the covers on them. I then took pics of the car without the plate covers on them for the to judge the contrast with or without them which is almost nothing. Comparing the two, both were just as visible as each other which was my point I brought to her.

Wen't to court with my evidence and talked to the judge explaining all of this and boom I was gone, everything dropped. Felt like spitting in the cops face.

Last year got a tickets again for them. I told him they're not illegal and I already won the ticket in court a year previous. He said no and threatened me that I will lose in court this time for sure. I told him i'll rip them off the car and throw them out and nothing budged the fat ****!. Got another ticket. Gave it to the xcopper guys and they won it I think again with addition to two others that day.

I then ripped them off and threw them in the garbage when I got home. Don't waste your time people, it's not worth it at the end.
