Yes, insurance costs a lot of money, which is why most people hate it. And fyi, you cannot screw an insurance company. But again thanks for coming out. I work for State Farm, and yes people do, ALOT, get away with scamming accidents benefits (pretending there back hurts so they need disability etc), this like that happens ALL the time.

Maybe your friend does drive a bmw and good for him. Either he was driving one before and with his claims cheque he bought another one. Or maybe he used his claims cheque to HELP pay for a bmw.

so no, not cool lol
Either way your saying you can't screw over an insurance company??
What planet do you live on?? Its really not that hard.
I no sombody who set up his G35 to get stolen because he could'nt afford it anymore. The insurance company recouped all his looses back to him.

Not to mention when I was a kid I swapped a B16 in'to my EG, as far as State Farm was concearned it was only a 1.5lt B7. Otherwise at the time I would hve been paying more then double a month to have it in there.

ok, you guys are completely right. Go ahead and take your chances with screwing an insurance company. You dont think this stuff is kept on your file? You previous claims don't go anyways, they sit there for years. Just because an auto claim doesn't count against you after so many years, doesn't mean it erases from your file. So yes, screw the insurance company now, this way years down the line when you actually need them they will drop your insurance due to # of claims.

as for the guy with the g35, its called a budget, he should learn to use it. can't eat a steak on a hamburger mans salary

As I have learnt, no one is going to listen to me anyways. Everyone has their minds set on how they view insurance companies.

So nice you had to post twice???
Who said I was fileing claims??? I said when I was a kid I paid insurance on a B7 instead of a B16. Whoppee-Sht.....I'm 33 now and both my cars are paid for and I have a house. So whats your point???
For my EP3 and my EG combined I only pay $103.65 a month for full coverage on both because I'm not a fck up. Thanks for the input though.

obviously the double post was a glitch... but thanks for the pointless remark on that

your 33 and still talking about scamming insurance, so thats not quite impressive.

bringing up you have 2 cars and a house... again... pointless remark. I would expect at 33 people would to be in the same position you are.

and I never said you were a **** up, mr. sensitive

its a forum, meaning there will be discussions, if your going to be sensitive and think people are calling you a **** up, maybe you should choose somewhere else to chill

I never once said that you called me fck up, reading owns you. I said the reason I have cheap insurance is because I'm not a fck up???. I was just making a point.
And how do I scam insurance companys??? Who are these people you talk about???
You really need to check your'self noob. Instead of post whoring, say something usefull. Don't be hating because you still live with mommy and daddy and lease your car. Your comments are a joke!

ok here the update...
the insurance is trying to write it off for only 8000? *tf
they told me that when they fix it it gonna be around 7000+ so yea why not I already invested alot of money in there but the thing is they want my car to be fixed in their own garage and having stated that they are puting SECOND HAND bumper, bumper and tail lights. plus they're just gonna pull out the dent on the spare tire, brackets, and rear quarter panel. GREAT insurance are so cheap!!! trying to screw me over. I don get it ! we are paying insurance for us to get covered not to get screwed. I am just an innocent bystander by stop light waiting for the go signal and just waiting to go and get screwed? what should I do get it fixed or take the money ? its a both LOSE LOSE situation...

just remember don't settle for anything your not happy with. as for your car being worth $8000... thats just what happens. You get book value of the car, BUT if you have receipts to back up stuff you have put into it then they will reimburse you for it. They are trying to push you to use their shop because they trust it and they know it will be done properly. Again, I think you should go to their certified shop, but whatever your comfortable with. As for the the second hand parts they would be fixing your car with, thats normal. Every insurance company does that. I actually have a client disputing his claim with me because he found out we are putting a used door back on his car. Insurance will fix your car, basically the cheapest way possible. This doesn't mean they are going to put a rusted door back on your car and paint over it to make it look new. They are putting legit parts back on your car, they are just 'used' Being an outsider to your situation its easy to say, just take the money, you can buy another car. But to be honest, if I was in your shoes, I would want my car fixed, I love my car I would hate for it to be a write off.

Hey. The average value of a civic is $$7,888.00 for year 2002. So it is up to you what you do. The maximum is $9,200.00. They are giving you a pretty good settlement. But if you dont like it, thell them you want more money.

OR that you dont want your car to be welded together from pieces and have second hand bumpers on it. So if you choose this option, Make sure you pick a reallyreally good collision shop. Don't give in man, dont let them take it to their **** shop.

If this was my car, first i would cry(lol). then i would go to honda and have them reccomend me a shop. its more expensive & done with genuine parts. This is what you pay for every month. So get it out of them.
