buzzing noise from heater fan

buzzing noise from heater fan
i own a 92 civic si
and today the heater blower started to make a high pitched noise. it got really unbearable so i ended up just kicking it and it stopped for a bit. this leads me to think that something is just rubbing within the unit.
can someone suggest how to fix it? wd40?
i tried looking in haynes manual to disassemble it, or atleast get at it, but im having now luck. any help is great, cause i dont have a radio yet and this noise is awful.
