2002 Civic with DRL light on with audible buzzing noise
I got the same situation on my 02 Civic LX as Paul from car-forums.com
here is the problem.
Our 2002 Civic just had the DRL (daytime running light) light lit on the dashboard. You can also hear a buzzing noise near the right side of the car. The passenger side drl headllight is out. Switching on the regular headlights makes the buzz go away and the DRL light go out. Is it just a simple as replacing the whole halogen light on the right side or am I missing something else?
Thanks in advance
Paul
I had replaced lightbulb and relay... it did work for 3 days, then the problems is back now!
help!

teh relays for the drl dont need to be changed.
all you have to do is resolder the hair line cracks in the solder points.
but since he seems to have a problem of it blowing on him even after he changed it to another one seems like there is an overload so i am assuming he is using bulbs that are too powerful.

the drl module inside the car is what makes the headlights have drl light output in the first place.
what you do is take out the drl module and open up the box and inside you will notice that there are solder points on the board all over. if you look at each and every solder point very closely you will notice that some of them have a very fine hair line crack in it. what you will have to do is using a soldering iron remelt them and re-solder them. and then put it back together and put it back inside the car.

get a haynes manual from canadian tire. i just got mine and it's amazing.. even better than the official service manual, in that it will be more useful to non-mechanics.
TONS OF INFO! worth every penny. I have barely put mine down since i bought it 5 days ago.
