DX motor at 100km is @ roughly 2600'ish rpm's


At 120km......around 3000'ish.

JDM b16 with a bit of headwork and cams. vtec is currently at 5900 with no reline (usually shift at 9200 sometimes 9500). The dyno says to set vtec at 5600, but then you don't feel vtec kick in (smooth engagment with lots of sound).

i have a 99 dx tranny and i rev at like 2500 rpm going 120 kmph

dx tranny sounds good for mileage. the ls tranny in mine is 3000rpm at 120km.

ya the dx tranny is awesome for millage... compared to my old Si tranny which would be reving at like 3000 at 120

vafc is kick *** fun toy...it dun hurt the engine any more than other mods will....its just piggy back for your ecu

if you guys are talkin Dseries motor then oh thats why u wont feel ****, i meant any B series or Hseries motors!

JSK and I both have b series.....
i can speak for both of us when i say we don't feel a 'vtec rush'

I personally know JSK doesn't "hear" a second cam profile kick in either.....

i hear mine at about 5700 rpm...B16A2

but is this right? Also, Am I supposed to feel a kick or anything because I only hear the sound change?

you need more torque to feel it actually do anything..
