yeah wait until the first time your charge pipe blows off the intercooler. Its funny, how slow your car feels when its no longer FI and its sucking air in from atmosphere.
Lesson here is buy good clamps and couplings for the charge pipes.

I've gotta agree with you there. Blowing off an IC pipe is not a fun scenario. You'll be left bogging, not building any boost, wondering WTF happened.

I used to blow my lower pipe off constantly until I found decent clamps. What a pain in the ***!

I blew off my pipe that connects to the turbo itself.
8psi isnt that much boost, but was good enough to blow off making a sound that might make you cry.
Pop at 180kms isnt a casual thing.

where did u get these clamps?

I just took some regular hose clamps from work. I have PVC piping.

But I might change it, if i have 100$ lying around.

A friend of mine got it for me... heavy duty clamps. He's got the same clamps on his turbo car as well, I'll find out tomorrow.

I also have a Turbo D series, had the turbo in since 2000, i have 95k on the turbo and only Motul oil! i've tried ALL the oil from Motul and i agree with Defcondave, go with 8100 5w40, it's a great oil to start with!

in the summer time when it gets hot u might wanna try out some 15W50 300v it's awsome esp on the track!

i personally use 5w40 8100 during winter and 15w50 300v during summer!

Using motul pays for itself! it's better for ur engine, it's got almost double the drain intervals as most other synthic oil, and why do ppl do $24.99 oil change and call than a deal, and always put in octane 91 or 94 every week or 2 for $30?! u only need to change oil once or twice a year with motul!
