guys im lookin into buyin a motor and i wanted to do a compression test on it before anything else....

would anyone be able to do a compression test for me or would you know of anyone who i can tag along for an hour or two to let him do a compression test on the motor?

any help will be appreciated. thanks.

I think the motor needs to be in the car in order to do a compression test so you can crank it.

cant you turn over the engine manually??

ive heard that u can turn the crank pulley is in order to determine compression but im not %100 sure i would just try it and see if the number look in reasonable range.

if the motor is out the transmission has to be on it to do a compression test just hook up a battery and crank the motor over to see what kind of compression you have,but beware of the seller putting oil in the cylinders to increase the comperssion
