Tach jumping around / motor cutting out
ok so i am just working on a new swap and the first issue i have run into is that the car's stock tach is jumping back and forth
if the car is at 3400 then the needle will fly up to 5000 then down to 2000 with out the motor changing then once in a while the motor will lurch for a second then come back.
i assume that this is ignitor related does anyone have a DIY ignitor removal/install off hand or have any of you had similar issues?

Had similar issues.. the ignitor is fairly easy to replace search in good for Honda Ignitor replacement. I found one for an Integra and its pretty much the same thing.
Basically you mark the distributor so you can put it back on in the same place to keep your timing. Remove the distributor, open it up and the ignitor has 4 wires with spade connectors hooked up to it. You have to remove a few pieces to get to the ignitor but its not that hard. After you just bolt back on the dizzy to where you marked it, or if you have a timing light re-check the timing. If you want an ignitor I have one that will work with your sol
