i presently have a sohc zc non vtec in my car , i have read a couple things and in different places, my question is will a dohc zc head on the sohc zc block?

i was wondering the same thing and was told many times no it wont fit

no dohc head wont fit on a sohc block but a guy on h-t did it on a z6 block but it seemed like it was a hack job leakin oil and stuff

in my 92 si.. it says d16z6.. but the top just has a honda sign.. no vtec sign.. but i believe its vtec because Im pretty sure I can hear the sound and all...
do d16z6 come in non vtec or something?

i was wondering because my sohc zc block in some areas sticks out past the head it looks like the head is smaller in some areas, i compaired it to my d16z6 for areas where it was sticking out, and my d16 didnt have those areas

Is there a solenoid on the left on of the cylinder head near the valve cover? If yes then it is V-TEC.

so there is non vtec d16z6?

no.. it will have a different engine code.... a z6 is vtec

if it has this item attatched to the upper left side of the motor, it is vtec

on a z6 the vtec solinoid is on the far upper left side of the head

mine is a z6.. but I do not think it has that. Is there a way to get it installed? and how much would it cost?

its not there? has to be oil would **** every where if it wasnt
