noise... coming from wheels maybe?

when im driving and i let go off the gas.. i can here this deep clunkin noise. i think its coming from the wheels. like a bad alignment or something. when i press on the gas, it seems gone already. then when i let go off it again it comes back. i think its the wheels cause when i hit the brakes lke make it touch, it'll disappear. what could be the prob?

I don't know what it could be..
I had noise coming from my wheels after I dropped it and put on my rims.

the tires were 'howling' cause I didnt get an alignment yet, and
the rears were rubbing the fender well so I removed the rubber lining

I second the engine mount Idea ... happened on my dad's dodge caravan when a tranny mount broke... don't wanna too long without getting that fixed

Question

that shake comes from unbalanced tire or bent rims.
have the front tires balanced first...
wrong alignment can lead to car pulls to one side... steering wheel not center or uneven tire wear. but won't shake.
