As for b17 crank, dont use it, you will totally opose the whole LSVTEC theory. You use the ls crank because it has a longer stroke which yeilds more torque.

Please stop feeding people wrong information, dont talk if you dont know.
The option of B17 crank was in relevance to the RS ratio. Hence it's own paragraph. That is why a lot of people are against the LSV in the first place (Note: "A Good Read"). The bad RS ratio and the fact that it is being revved higher than it was designed for puts "more" stress on the walls. But I guess you knew that building a LSV that revs past 8K everyday.

Actually the B17s only had a displacement of 1677.81 cc. You were referring to 1sloweg's comment right (from the ditto in your post).

Oh, I thought we were still talking about the B17s.

Did you get your exhaust installed? I still haven't seen you around Hamilton. I think I saw your friend though with the black 4 door. It's nicely done.

i'm on the mountain too. but i'm in KW right now.

they are having a huge blitz in Cambridge right now. they're pulling over modified cars and they have people from the MTO and Environment Canada checking cars for emissions and mods! I know of one car that got plates taken off.

We should have a meet on the mountain on a weekday. I'd like to meet people on this board but I can't make it to the meets on Sunday evenings.

So I guess you're not going FI?

ive decided not to go FI
long story short, reliabilty issues.... but i know people will say if i run low boost ill be fine... but thats the thing, if im going BOOST, im going to build it right.... low compression pistions etc... the whole works

right now...
I/H/E pulles for this season.

next year:
ITR/CTR cams dont know which one yet, ITR valvetrain,
bigger TB, maybe extrude hone my manifold.... 1 step at a time...
tune it with Hondata or re-chip to get maximum power out of these cams since CAMS are prolly the best thing u could ever do on the car.

i need one more RICE on my car,,,, CARBON FIBRE HOOD

p.s the MTO would recognize if my car its stock.... ill be painting my AEM CAI black to match with the valvecover... hehe

F/I is fun, but I am not a big believer in boosting a car that wasnt enginered to be boosted. Honda's are so efficient n/a that I figure just keep it n/a. Yeah you may not put 400 whp down on a dyno run, but how many front wheel drive street cars do you know that can hook up and launch on street tires with 300 whp cleanly.

I think the 2000+ ITR cams the same Spec as the CTR. It was the intake that was different anyways. I used to have all those stuff too. Sold them all off slowly (CTR cam, ITR valvetrain).

Have you heard of Uberdata? You should read up on it too in hondatech if you haven't already.

I think that once you try and get more power out of an engine you are compromising it's reliability. FI and NA both. With NA you would have to rev the car higher to get more power too. Just build the motors right and the FI/NA motors should be just as reliable. My0.02
