the engine will be a vtec 5sp engine ! i want to mate it to a automatic tranny and then run the engine with it i thought about it and all i will need is to run the vtec wires and then get a chip for the automatic si chip correct me if im wrong?

5 spd v-tec will mate but I would just get an automatic v-tec ECU and run the v-tec wires. instead of fooling around with the chip its easier just to plug in the computer. They won't be that much. automatic civic v-tec computers are not in high demand.

as far as i know if u want to hook up the wires for VTEC will cost u around 500-600 dollars, i don't think it's worth it since he's on automatic

why would it cost $500-$600 to run wires? Thats paying to much. I know a guy how would do that for $300.00 to $350.00. thats swaping the motor and running the v-tec wires. with an automatic ECU. Of course they would have to supply the motor. There are tons of 1.5 and 1.6 vtec enignes.

300-350........... its a shame because this kind of thing is killing the automotive trade. As a tech it pisses me off

well as all automotive tech's you get 1 stubborn bolt or other problems such as previous tech's who %^$& up the car, then costs go up of course. I don't see the guy i know just doing it for 300-350 unless all the bolts came off NP.
