comfortable drop

hey guys, i plan on doing a suspention setup on my 98 civic EX.

probably KYB AGX and H&R, tien, neuspeed, progress, or eibach springs......

right now i roll on 16x7 rota slipstream with 205/45/zr16 eagle f1 tires.

what would be a good comfortable drop woth no rubbing. i see some threads and they say that they rub with 2" drop. so would a 1.25-1.5 be good.

i see civics in my town with nice ride height but they are runnin really f'd up camber and the wheels tuck alot. im not lookin for the slammed look, i just want to lower it noticeably but not have rubbing or alignment issues

from the looks of it, i think my rims/tires may be a bit too wide cuz to get any more than a 1.25" drop, the tires will need to tuck. is this okay or is this what messes up alignment?

regardless of your drop, the wheels WILL tuck under heavy load and cornering. so 1st make sure your wheels will fit inside with full compression. Remove the front shock assembly from your car, then put the rim/tire back on the hub and run it thought the entire travel with the wheels at full lock both ways. If this works out, you can run any drop you want. If this does not work, forget about any drop.

ProKit is pretty soft initially... what type of ride are you looking for? Maybe H&R OE is the ticket for you?

ok, firm but not like full autoX or solo2 firm. i may occasionally try these so i dont want too soft of springs. are the H&R sports what im lookin for? how low do they go and how stiff?

Why not ITR? Cheap and good drop, plus stiff enough...
