not sure, ill take a pic tomorrow. well i looked inside and didnt see any holes that would be missing a screw. also the screw is aprox 3mm long. and maybe 1.5mm thick. so its a tiny screw and it is painted black. dont think a tiny screw like that would be holding the rotor on the distributor shaft. its the size of a screw you would find in like a clock assembly or other small electronic devices. anyways ill take a pic tomorrow and upload it. i drove to work today without a problem. sounds normal, idles normal and drives normal. no more bogging or whatnot. hopefully that damn little screw was the cause of this issue.

DAMN IT!!! as i thought my problem was gone, it came back this morning when iwas coming back from work :@
i did not buy plugs/wires since i figured that little damn screw must of been screwing around. so my guesses are
-fuel: fuel filter??? pump?? connections for pump?
-spark: wires/plugs/cap/distributor ????
dont flame i know i've been told to change wires/plugs/cap/distributor but it just doesnt make sense since it comes out occasionally. if it were plugs that would mean that it would be getting incorrect spark all the time. is there a way to get distributor checked out? also would 96-98 lx civic distributor fit my z6 ?? since i can get one for 40$ out of a rear ended car.

i got some sad news!! i changed the plugs/wires last sunday and i was driving without a problem since till today. perfect xmas present for me. it died on me again!! i guess im changing the distributor next? i noticed that motor stays on when rpms drop to 0. i start flooring when rpms are at 0 and i can hear it and it feels like it wants to accelerate or at least its not slowing down as much. any other tips would be appreciated. i might get a fuel filter but again im just not too sure.
thanks in advance.

So today after I got some sleep and was more conscious I took the distributor cap off again and realized that the connectors were bent and shaved off. And the rotor was cracked and metal part was flush with the plastic housing. So I had a rotor laying around [brand new] and went out and got a cap. So now it drives smoother but yet I still felt rpm drop few times in 2nd gear in a parking lot. It wasn't dying out to 0 but for a moment just dropped by maybe 300-400rpms and bounced back up. Ill look into getting a fuel pressure test [thanks for advice Steve and you got a PM] any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
