SRS problem and Acetone problem

hey guys

okay this is kind of a "your retarded" kinda thread but here goes

so i was painting my interior and i used acetone but i accidentaly kicked it and it fell on my driveway and left a yellow stain

now my mom was gonna be pissed at me so naturally i blamed it on my dads 2001 automatic civic sedan saying it was his tranny oil so after we checked the oil and went through all the gears i said "i dont know but i didnt do it"

unfortunately after i went through the gears my dads SRS light came on what steps should i take in diagnosing this problem

im going to check the fuse to see if its blown and if not drain the batt for a half hour and re-attach it but if those arent the issue what else can i do before i take it to a mech to check it out

i also wanted to know how i can get acetone off of asphalt :P

LMAO that's what you get for punkin your dad hahahaha...there's a DIY on how to turn it off here:
http://www.torontocivics.com/tccv5forums/t7801/

as for the asphalt...you may have to re-tar your whole drive way or atleast that section. Unless you have patterned concrete or something then you're F*CKED lol

if i do reset it tho and god forbid my dad did get in an accident would the airbags just not deploy

hard to explain but the SRS light is it just a warning or does it mean that when the light comes on the WHOLE srs system is off?

I'm pretty sure it just resets it not disables it. It should be fine. Before I totalled my last civic, the SRS light was on for like months and when I got into my accident, I remember thinking, "holy **** I can't believe my bags deployed." LOL. don't worry bro reset it and he's good to go.

LMAO you're hilarious dude...nah man just roll it on. your mom will be happy her driveway will look brand spankin new. Just ask those people at Rona though...they might have something to remove the acetone so you don't have to redo your whole driveway.

Yeah, I've lied before. I told her she looked real nice in that dress when truth be told, it was ok but not really that great. So I guess I'm not perfect because I lied to her to spare her feelings.

Truth be told, I'm far from perfect, but I do stand up and accept responsibility for the things I do though, even if it lands me in grief and even if I could avoid such by lying.

Has integrity and personal responsibility gone out of style? Some of the posts in here over the past while really makes you wonder.

lol first off im 19 so in my age group lying to get your *** out of trouble isnt that uncommon

secondly i jacked the car when he was asleep and took it to a mech to check it out cuz i felt guilty but still wouldnt fess up :P everything was A okay

third..ly? a yellow stain in the asphalt would make my mom flip on me and would land me in the **** hole for awhile if i blamed it on my dad shes cant actually punish him if i get in **** thats my car keys gone until that stain came off

and yes i do realize what i did was wrong and selfish but everything was checked and i had some cash at hand just incase anything did go wrong

any updates on your situation? Were you able to turn the SRS light off? Did you find anything to remove the acetone from your driveway?
