Hey everyone, I'm building a 91 civic HB with a ls vtec swap the motor is obd1 and i will be using a gsr tranny ys1. I am wondering if the the main engine harness that came stock in my civic will work with this swap..will i have to get a new engine harness or will i just need to change a few connectors in order to make my harness work with the ls vtec.

I know i need a obd0 - obd1 conversion harness for my ecu but will my main harness work with the swap..any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

yes the stock civic harness will work, you will just have to change a few connetors. I always re-use the stock harness when doing a swap

I hate to sound like an idiot, but I've seen many forums regarding the LS Vtec and Ive even try to google it. But what exactly is an LS Vtec and what car does it come from? As the days go on, I learn more and more so I'm simply inquiring to further my knowledge.

LS Vtec is a non vtec block out of a integra LS(b18a1/b)..and you put any vtec head on it b16 or gsr and that's what makes and LS vtec.. hence the LS

Yes, reuse your stock harness, so atleast it plugs into the car and work with that.
