Tire sizing dilemma..

Tire sizing dilemma..
OK here the problem.
43 offset 15" 5zigen rims "repaired finally"..
Current tires 195/50/R15 Toyo fZ4 Proxes tires(i know).
I am seriously thinking of running 195/55/R15 rubber with these rims.
This car is heavily daily driven and i don't want to ever have to fix these 5Zigens again.
Car is currently using stock suspension.
1st with this offset and a 195/55/R15 tire will I rub with a 0.75 to 1.2 inch drop?
Have a set of HR OE Sport's but got a line on some nice RSR's.
2nd can anyone recommend decent new summer rubber in a 195/55/R15 configuration.
Opinions please..
Thanks to all.

Let me first tackle some other issues... your sizing should be 195/55/15. Running a smaller tire I'm sure you know has consequences like gas mileage and VSS being off by a few percent (about 2-3%). Your offset is a little shallow, if any rubbing occurs it will be on the inside framerail. However, considering that you are NOT even mentioning a 205 tire, I can safely say, this is a non issue. You WILL NOT rub no matter how big the drop. For RS*R springs you can contact optauto.com
For tire choices, I'll post again in a few minutes.

I like the Yoko A520, ES100, Falken ZE-512, and the Dunlop SP Sport 9000, Toyo T1S. Check out the prices at tiretrends.com; talk to Bob there. He's a good guy; take good care of ya.
If you choose a different size, it opens up other options. They may still have overstock of the Toyo T1S in 195/50/15... excellent tire, and that size went for super cheap last year.

I'm liking the ES100, don't think the A520's are gonna do **** for me in the rain.
I'll prolly get ES100 195/55/R15's then.
I will be a full season yoko man.
To bad the AVS sports doesn't come in my size.
Hmm..
Wait a minute.
Let's see what Yokohama Japan has to say...
Bruno I owe you a keg of beer.
