yea i didn't pay up front , i got my shotty work done that took a month longer. i found so many things wrong with it, and he just said ok well write them all down and bring it back and i'll fix them free of charge...hence his warranty crap. anyways my first mistake was not gettin any paper trails of me paying him 3200 and second mistake was even taking the car, i should have left it there for him to repair, i got 20 mins out of his shop only to find out they didn't tighten my lug nuts and when i grabbed one of the nuts it just came off in my hands. I have never ever seen such crappy work done, and i dont buy the excuses of being busy because if you cant finish on the dates or even with a few weeks of the promised date then dont take the jobs on.

You pay for what you get and who you get.

Me personally I would only send my car to someone who produces quality cars day in and day out.

So much for the tcc vendor policy, shouldn't trust that anyways.

I'm in the same boat.. I had work done and I need some of his work warrantied. I've been trying to meet up with him many times now with no luck. Out of curiosity how many others are in the same boat? So far Barry, Tyson and I, from this thread alone.

Ive got some issues also with my paint job i got from him but it seems it'd be such a hassle to get a hold of him, if not impossible. I guess I'm not alone lol.

Wow I wish I would have known all this before I took my car to him almost 19 months ago. It shouldnt be a hassle to get ahold of him. He owns a business somehow but treats his customers like ****.

Warrenty issues and he wont respond to you ? I love that long post he wrote saying Ive changed this and fired him and hired this guy.

So a total of 3 trying to get ahold of him ? I gave up today and called my Lawyer letting him deal with it.

A date / close estimate of a time line anything would be nice. I booked a appointment in June of 07 at the air ride shop No go. Gave Davis a despoit in July / Aug to hold a spot for me to get interior and stereo installed. A year after that still not done lol. Even when Ive tried to go down and arrange a time to meet him in the past to see it. TOO BUSY. Or he doesnt even show up.

i have had problems from there too i had a few issues with my paint when i got my car painted from there which took 1.5 months when he said it would take 2 weeks. Then my paint where he shaved the eblems are now cracking and the holes are re-appearing and ive called him to set up an appointment and hes told me to come down so he can see the problem and when i tried calling him the day of the date he wouldnt answer my calls or return my messages at all .I felt like i got the run around all the time with this guy the service is horrible and the work isnt that great at all some rust already coming back after 1 year....my advice is pay the extra money and go somewhere else.

Thanks for the input and I am glad people are finally speaking up reguarding issues with this guy. Its a shame we all didnt know this before hand. Atleast some of the new comers will read this thread and become aware of this bodyshop's professionalism. I forget who it was a couple months ago had to bring the cops with him in order to pick up his car. I had an appointment the next day which someone never showed up to.

I'll be in touch with my lawyer again tomorow and see where this goes. Ive never had to contact a lawyer in order to get my car from a shop that I already paid for the work.

Sorry to hear about the shotty work on your car. What bodywork did you get done ? Where's it rusting ? Did he replace any 1/4's panels or anything ? Mines supposly painted and motor in. Either way Im gonna have it looked over. I cant trust this guy anymore.

I got both rear fenders replaced and my driverside door had a lot of dings and dents that i believe he pulled. Since then it has started to rust just under the molding on the driver's side door which is odd since i never had a problem there. He also got a bit of primer overspray on one of my rims >.<

False, I remember seeing your car a long while back before and after he welded in the quarters, looked pretty good to tell you the truth.

Jay is not more a TCC vendor (for other business reasons and not this thread which is one sided). I beleived he has moved on to take insurance related work only...this was posted a while back so i am sure he is not reading this at all.

Yes the body work was ok. I havent mentioned the QUALITY of work at all. Just the time line that is pissing me off. So I have an appointment Fri to see Lawyer and give them details. And then wait until the 12th when hes supposed to open his shop back up.

Anyone else having problems with him should contact me im cruious.

I'll just sit back and WAIT like I have been. Still no calls or anything from him.

Well Im still waiting to see if my motor is in and if there is even paint on my car.

i got my whole car repainted same color and the rear quarters that were rusted cut out and new sheet metal in but im not even sure if he did that properly because i can still see some rust and it feels like a lot of bondo and he got primer overspray alllllllllllllll over my rims so i finally got it off using a clay bar.

Ahhh man thats pathetic. Sorry to hear about that bro. I spoke with someone earlier on the phone that is willing to get on board if this matter needs to goto court. Seems like this guy been screwing alot of people.

Thanks everyone for the advice and feedback. Its a shame to hear now about all the bad work he has done but atleast people are speaking up now.

Im more than willing to help anyone out anyway I can. We are all on here for the same thing. We love our civics this is a great place for advice and the majority of users are good stuff. So hopefully Jay will be reading all of this soon and decide to help you guys out with warrenty issues and such.

So when I fill my lawyer in on Friday chances are I'll be waiting until the 12th to see whats up. If it turns out I have to goto court who else would join in ? I already have 1 other person on board if need be.
