Although this thread is useless IMO but it indeed is interesting. I wanna ask one thing...what terms and conditions u agreed with the shop and how much time was estimated for the job when u dropped the car? What is the shop explanation for the delay?

And I said useless cuz posting non stop won't have any impact on the shop nor u will get ur car any sooner.

Well STILL more sanding to be be somehow. And no paint. I called Friday to see what was going on with it and he hadn't see it in 3 days. So hopefully all the sanding got finished. I just noticed that June 20th I made a post saying the sanding was all done. I try to get a finish date and he has no clue. How does he not know how far along his prep guys are. Well Monday he's letting me know what stage its at. Anyone else have there car down there ?

That was just lame. Im glad to see some of you think its a joke that my car is taking this long. Id like it done by Friday or maybe I'll have to take it somewhere else. Never returns calls. Still waiting to hear from him. BRUTAL

Well Monday 6:46pm and no call. Left a few messages between his business hours of 9-5. He was supposed to call me today and let me know what stage my car is at. I try to get a finish date and he wont give me a answer. Its not in his hands right now. He needs to communicate with his prep guys more. How can 3 days go buy and you not know how far my car has come along. I thought all the shops were empty'd out and only 1 customer car MINE was left. If you hired and fired all these guys why not put them all on my car to get it done. I didnt realize it takes SOOOOO long for paint. Friday is the deadline or I may just have to tow it.

3/4 of it shop called yesterday said it was primed and they are letting it set until today which he'll sand more and it should be gettin painted thursday or friday but my car isnt a big deal and hes doing they're car I believe or something I dunno. So hopefully MONDAY i'll get some paint lol

Well its August 3rd now and I spoke with ths shop on Thursday. My car was painted and they finished wetsanding and everything else along with a polish. The car was gettin towed to have the motor installed and should be going in on wensday. Supposed to call me and let me know. So I hope its in soon and then off to the air ride w00t

Today its Aug 10 and I spoke with the shop on Thursday and all the polishing has been done to the car even though I havent seen it. It got towed just before the long weekend and then sat for a week hopefully not outside. He's busy moving his shop or doing something and didnt wanna scratch my car which is understandable. And this mechanic is only a 1 man crew. So that Monday the 11th this guy will be putting my motor in and axles and such and my headers, short shifter and cat back exhaust. Then back to bodyshop for the door moldings and rubbers and such and also the bucket seats. So Im thinking 2 weeks hopefully but it'll turn out to be a month or so. I'll be lucky to have my car done by Christmas. Oh well I try to keep looking postive towards things. I wont rant and rave but I still dont get this odd situation lol.

I Monday and he stated the motor still hasnt been installed yet due to the fact some of the little parts need cleaning up and painted black and what not. Also the hardware is not with my car because I only bought the shell and I dont have any mounts either. this mechanic is gonna look around for some mounts for me. And I mentioned if I have to put out more $ for mounts to get it done I will. Ive been asking for pics but he couldnt take any before the car got towed to get the motor put in. And he cant take them now because its over at the mechanic. So today being Wensday I called him around 4pm and left a message saying I would like to get the mechanics address and # so I can pop down there Friday on my day off and take a look at the car. Since I havent seen it in like atleast a month and since its been painted. Hopefully I will get a call from him tomorow. Im dying to see how she looks with paint. Itching to get this damn thing. Well I'll keep everyone upto date.

Its now Aug 18th spoke with bodyshop today and my motor is in and just waiting on some other parts and then my headers and cat back will be installed. probably by Wensday it should be back at ths bodyshop getting the seats, glass and rubbers all put back in. So once its back at the bodyshop he's calling me and Im going down to see how she looks and sounds So when I go down I'll definately be taking some pics. Its been awhile since Ive seen her. This thread is getting huge but as I stated earlier Im just keeping everyone upto date.
