Are they changing the age to get your license to 18 now?

I heard about this long time ago, almost 2 years ago, you will not be allowed to get a driverse license, if you drop out of highschool and are not 18 yet, if you are a high school student then this rule won't apply to a person.

It's something to do with reducing the multiplying numbers of people dropping out of highschool.

May be because the volume of the young driver who get involve in accident is rising. or something to do w/ the politics.

I wouldn't even give this a second thought until I heard some proof. People were saying this back before I got my license. It's all just hearsay

I heard it was to keep kids from dropping out of high school aswell.

yeah I heard about it too.

Well my little brother told me, I then looked all over the net, Canadian news papers, Ontario new papers, the MTO, Ontario Government Web page, and I could not find a drop of information on them changing the legal driving age.

So I think it's more of just a mom's tale to scare their kids into staying in school

Yah, it's from keeping students from dropping out of school. But if you stay in school you can get it at 16
