when idleing, my car makes some funny noises like grinding/ticking or something rubbing outa place or w/e, but as soon as i press the clutch down it goes away (neutral not moving) once i release the clutch it starts back up again? what could be the problem?

also when in first gear taking off goingslow about 10-20km the noise gets lauder and all i hear is a ticking/grinding noise constantly once i pick up more speed it goes away or if i m just coasting and outa gear...only does it when in gear in motion or idleing with clutch up, if clutch is pressed down it goes away.....

i had the same problem its your input shaft bearing thats gone. u can drive around with that for a good year or 2 and it will be fine. will cost u around $700-$900 depending on the shop.

That wouldnt be the release bearing would it?

i doupt it, my transmission was making wayyyy too much noise and i got new clutch/flywheel and got another transmission of a guy. everything got put in with the new release bearing and everything and the noise is still there...but not as much. basicly you can either get new tranny, rebuild your old or just change the oil and put in some GM Synchro Fluid. it will be quiter but you will still here it a bit. OR just not give a crap and drive around like that. haha thats what im doing till i get enough money to rebuild my old SI tranny.
