Hey,

Quick question. Just got my first speeding ticket. Its pretty stupid but I was going 89 in a 60. (was sure it was an 80 limit leaving cambridge but not for 100 meters apparently). Anyway he knocked it down to a ** in a 50 and overlooked an outdated insurance slip. Im just wondering if I automatically lose 2-3 points or if he has to say/write it on the ticket that I lose points.

Thanks for your time.

Jeff

I never had the point amount stated on the ticket.

** in a 50 = 19km over which is about 3 pt I believe

Were in a 50 zone or 60 zone?

I would assume 60 since you stated 100m up ahead was 80.

I was in a 60 but he wrote ** in a 50. I think he MENT to write ** in a 60. I think im going to fight it and show the judge pics of where it says 60 and try to get off on an error on the ticket. Think that will work?

It doesn't matter what he meant to write. It is what he wrote. If your vehicle was marked inside the 50 area before the sign changed then you are technically at fault. I will say this . A little bird from Metro Police told me to fight all tickets .....,.
