Jacking points for 2002 civic 4 door
Hi
I'm trying to save some money by changing to my winters myself but not sure of the exact place for the jacking points. I've read the manual and looked under the car but I'm not sure what they are referring to.
For the front I can see a bar maybe 5-6 inches wide which I assume to be the frame which would be okay for the front but I it doesn't seem to go far back enough for the rear. So which point would I use for the rear?
Also when I googled some people mentioned a point in the front and rear that jacks up the entire front/rear ends but I can seem to see the exact point they are using/referring to either. Ideally I would like to use these two points as it would save me time because I can change two tires at once.
I've got a 2002 4 door civic if that changes anything.
Cheers,
SF
Also not sure if this posts belongs here so please move if necessary.

the jack points are the "bar" like things behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels. The are about a foot or less front the wheel well.
there are other points for the front end and rear end, but what kind of jack are you going to use? You can't really use these points with the factory jack, but you can if you have a floor jack (the kind usally on wheels).
and ps, there is no frame, the jack points are hardened points on the unibody

Thanks for the reply.
I've managed to borrow a floor jack (has wheels). Like I said in my first post the bar doesn't seem to go far back enough to jack up the rear wheels. And the part that is closest to the rear wheels don't look strong enough and I don't want to mess anything up.
Since I have a floor jack can you point out the other jacking points so that I'll be able to lift the entire front/rear ends.
And I'm not too good with terminology so you'll have to bear with me sometimes.

dont worry, when I first had to jack my civic up I had no idea where to place the jack, I was used to having a frame under a car, lol.
make sure you check your manual and torque the lugs back to OEM specs.
