An interesting way to get cheaper insurance...

Well in January, when I had bought my 4th gen hatch as a project car, I had gone into my insurance broker to add along with my Echo. I was really unhappy with the price ING had given me to renew my insurance...so I had the broker look for another company that would be cheaper. So he found one and being that I had 2 vehicles I would get a better rate for both of them(every insurance company does that). In any case, I had decided to not insure the Civic after all but I was still given the discounted rate on the Echo because all they did was take the Civic off. Instead of paying $160 for the Echo I pay $140. So if you want a cheaper rate, try doing that LOL!

And why it occured to me to post this 6 months later is beyond me...

So its cheaper to buy another car, attempt to insure it and then decide not to?

well no you dont have to buy a second car. At no point did I give a vin number when i was getting quotes. Though I had the car, the insurance companies did not have proof that I did.

well, in order to get this discount, you would need to prove you own another car, you do realize this, right?
