green is an iffy colour.....ie......traffic lights. The green can be flashing. (advance green)...or solid (means go).

That's the grey area.....

Good luck.

They didn't listen to me when I argued a simular thing about my blue lights. (they DIDN'T flash).

Had to go for the first offence meeting......then the guy didn't show for court a few months later.
Wasted my time.

alan, what did they say when you brought up that they weren't flashing? just that they weren't white or amber and they can't be on the front? that simple? seems stupid that with so much proof they just wouldn't listen.... mind you it's not like all the intelligence in the world is gathered within the ranks of the cops and traffic prosecutors and such....

Well if you go to the TTC site (not TCC), you will notice that the buses have Blue lights up front, and the street cars have Green up front. (I even brought a pic to prove this.) She thought I photoshoped it.

This made no difference to the girl at the first offence meeting......she even asked if I was trying to tell her how to do her job? I asked if, she had a BA in law.......she said no.......then I asked if, she was a judge.......again she said no..........then I said, "How do you know what your talking anout then?" ..........she didn't like that one bit........she refised to listen after that.......so I took the paper....filled it out........and asked for my day in court.

Got it thrown out.........officer didn't show.

When you quoted the HTA earlier,
"
Identification lamps

(11) When on a highway at any time from one-half hour before sunset to one......., every commercial motor vehicle or combination of a commercial motor vehicle and a trailer having a length in excess of 9.2 metres or a width in excess of 2.05 metres shall carry three lighted lamps displaying green or amber lights at the front, except in the case of a public vehicle which shall display amber lights at the front, and three lighted lamps displaying red lights at the rear , and the lights of each colour shall be evenly placed not less than 150 millimetres nor more than 310 millimetres apart along a horizontal line as near the top of the commercial motor vehicle or combination of a commercial motor vehicle and a trailer as the permanent structure permits, and shall be visible for distances of 150 metres from the front and rear respectively of the commercial motor vehicle or combination of a commercial motor vehicle and a trailer.

"

I believe the green light usage concerns only commercial vehicles, i.e. tractor trailers.

If you are just trying to show that others are allowed to use green lights, then ignore my post.

yeah, all i'm trying to say is that it doesn't say other cars CAN'T use green lights, it says that commercial ones have to use them, but it doesn't say you can't.....

the only thing it says you can't do is have flashing green lights.... so if green lights were not allowed all together why wouldn't they just say it outright? it says intermittent green lights, but it doesn't say anything about green lights in general, it just says that commercial vehicles MUST use them....

and if commercial ones must use them, why can't someone else? as long as it doesn't say so.... right? i dunno that's just my viewpoint, and that's what the HTA says...

hahah
[rant]
yeah the prosecutor i met with was a pure *******, cuz i wanted to challenge the ticket not the evidence, i easily could have lied cuz they have no idea of what you're really there for all they see is the section you're charged under.... anyways i tried to prove my point and he says i'm not allowed to have green lights, i asked him where it says that in the HTA, and he's like it doesn't matter, take it to court! lol i tried to say something else and he shoved the yellow piece of paper in my face and that was it he's like NEXT! hahah i was so mad, but what can you do right? friggin i would've atleast wanted him to explain to me where it's illegal so i'd know i have to take them off but he wouldn't.... now i think i'm just going to friggin take them off cuz this whole thing is pissing me off too much, stupid system what a scam! i was pretty disappointed with the whole thing but whatever, i think i've given up all faith in the system i'm just gonna take off the fog lights..... and the stupid thing is that i can't sell them cuz who wants to buy "illegal" fogs ? so they'll just sit in my garage..... i wish the prosecutor had actually been courteous tho i friggin pay his salary with my tax dollars!
