Angry !#%!@# Insurance!

Ok guys, you all might remember my insurance troubles, well now that i found out my insurance will be going down next month, to just over $300 a month.... ya that's right going down from over $400 a month, they try to stick some sort of policy change on me, so now my next payment is gonna be $700?!?! WTF? 700/month for the next 3 months! can they back date rate increases and **** like that? i swear i need to find myself another insurance company, does anyone know where a 20 yr old with perfect driving record and driving school can get insured for under 7g's a year? :fustrated i swear it's so ****** unfair just cuz stupid little ***** like to drive like idiots and crash their mommy's cars.... [/rant] sorry guys i'm just really frustrated right now, any tips anyone? Insuranceman?

hey dude I get insurance through a company called the personal (I get a deal because of the company I work for) when I did a check for insurance when I got my car I had 1 at fault accident and 1 speeding ticket and damn I never had a quote over 6500 and I never went to driving school do you have a g2 or a G? the G makes a big difference I think

dang that was quick!

Insuranceman - no real reason that i can see, all it says it and i quote
"policy coverage changed"
"rates have been changed"
"reinstatement of suspended coverage"
"policy reinstated"
"diff in premium from the effecitve date of the change to the current date is $600" !#@%!@#

gatherer - I have driving school but i still have my G2, they said it would be only be like $300 for the year difference, so that's under 30/month.... no tickets no nothing!! it's so frustrating! i wish i could put myself down as 2nd driver but i can't cuz i own the car and i can't transfer to my mom cuz she has her own... !?!?

sorry about the news sig, im with allstate and I don't even pay half of what you quoted and I have a speeding ticket and a rolling the stop sign. Im also insured under my parents though which is a big difference. Gatherer I have my G and the savings came out to around $112 per year which isn't much.
My best bet is to change insurance company, that's just total insanity for insurance on a civic, not worth it IMO.

you say "reinstatement of suspended coverage", well I think that's a big reason why. Usually they charge someone who's had suspended coverage more than regular. some kind of risk.

why was your policy reinstated??? Was it cancelled for non-payment by chance?? If so, theirs your answer ... The company has yet to recieve the payment for the months you missed (hence the reason they cancelled) so they need to be reimbursed those missed months ....

BPBSI would you mind pming me the # of your state farm agent? so i can talk to him? cuz what i'm paying is rediculous, maybe it's just the agents i'm with i'd have no quams with going to another agent, these people are horrible, don't return calls, never in their office during their posted office hours.... TIA

Marty - yeah i think they're screwing with me, it's happened before but i got it all straightened out, but this is the 2nd time and i didn't come home and get the mail until after office hours, so i couldn't call and bitch onthe phone...... i donno with **** like this it's not even worth having a car, this month i will pay almost 3x my car payment in insurance..... fookin bastards!

I can give you the number tomorrow... Gonna have to get it off the big man. The reason it's very cheap with me too is we have everything insured with them and also I have a good student discount (average over 70) so they knock off about 600 dollars...

nothing really it was a statement not a full out letter just the breakdown of what will be taken from my account this next period, no real writing/explanation or anything.....

if i change companies will they care if my insurance gets cancelled because of nonpayment? would that be treated the same as cancellation because they won't insure me? cuz i'm gonna have to do some mad scrambling to get 6 bills for the end of the month, i have car payments too.... i'm gonna look into a broker on monday...

well yeah I've been thinking of moving insurance companies anyways .. since the personal hasn't been too helpful with stuff...

since you work of them I'm planing to get the car painted this year woudl they cover the paint job ? what about if I informed them of the after market parts I have... when I spoke to the dude selling insurance he asked me prices of all the parts I had installed (which I provided him with) so that leads me to believe that they would insure them ...since I asked this question and got a yep from the sales dude....

just a note if your a claims adjuster maybe the different departments in the the personal should start talking esspecially sales and claims... it would make life so much simplier since I did report the mods to them and since I was told they'd be covered.... well I think thats a strong enough case I have there... (and I do have names of the people I've spoken with can't be too careful with insurance companies....)
