hahahahaha good one!! bushings are pivot points and do not affect dampening and spring rates, only geometry deflection. not to mention that the shock is independently located on a Honda (88-00 Civics), not like MacPhearson struts. your statement above MAY on some level be true on a Mac strut car because there would be higher loading being carried through the shock into the chassis... but on a Honda we have these things called upper control arms that transfer load into the chassis, leaving the dampener to do what it's supposed to - dampen.

use your head when posting, don't just spew out useless information. and this isn't just directed at you robb, I know you're just sharing knowledge you gained elsewhere... but for the love of god people, study your suspension before making judgements regarding info you find on the net. this generic info people ****** is also largely responsible for misconceptions regarding alignments and such.
