Keyless entry no work drivers side..?

The keyless entry on my drivers side does not work anymore. I know i messed it up during the winter forcing my door and trying to open it while it was frozen. Its been a month thinking it may be the weather but i dont think that is causing the problem. Any suggestions on what the damage can be and if this is a diy or should i just take it in ..thanks

Were you just yanking on the door handle like there was no tomorrow?

Perhaps you somehow disconnected/broke the power lock mechanism inside the door...

99% sure it's the actuator then, or a fuse leading to

an actuator is the gizmo that actually moves the lock rod to unlock the door..

hmmmm, k, so actuator works...tho intermittently by remote
yet it'll pop no problem with the door switch

remote: do you like press it once for drivers door and twice for all doors or??
when's the last time you changed the battery in it??
ever drop it or accidently toss it in the toilet or anything??

grabbing at straws now, this is a weird one..
