Yea so how bout you get ur own card? O yea, cuz of your income! HA.

Joking Blaze.

But yea, think is, I was told that at lower ohms, more distortion happens, thats why I was looking at two amps. Two amps means more flexibility with the ohms, and running them at 2ohms isnt bad. And yes, I am considering the monster amps as well. (orion for example).

Thing is, since I wont be getting the second ID until summer time, I can lower my spendings FOR NOW and have just one amp, then connect the second one later on.

Thanks for all the help though, guys. Atleast now I have a better idea of whats out there. The eD, btw, is only 300 bucks retail. Not that bad at all.

And the Arc 1500-XXK is said to be a perfect sub for the ID. Go read the customer thing on their website. Theres a whole section just for the ID MAX.

are you planning on running an arc 1500xxk to each sub? or one amp for both subs?

just hooked up my arc kar 1000.2t and lemme just say its AMAZING. the xxk is higher end and you definately wont be disappointed.

but only problem is that arc amps cost a lot

Indeed, each of those XXK's is like $600 US. But ive seen a few on ebay. Either way, between now and september, I got no school, so I will have money.

And yes, I'm planning to put one into each sub. Same with the eD's. Except the eD costs half the amount.

the ED's are still very sold amps, so there is no problem with getting them

from the two i would suggest the EDs unless you are totally hardcore about sound quality

Well as I said before, though I want more bass, just for the sake of having it, my car is a pure SQ car, and people that know me will tell u the same thing. But the price difference is really favoring the eDs right now.

My main problem right now is not the amp though. Before that, i NEED a yellow top, as my car drops to 10 volts every time the music goes above half volume. After that, I am purchasing an Alpine 7889, which will suit my tunning needs perfectly. The amps and second sub come after, as well as a second battery.

you need to get a H/O alternator with that system

i dont care what anyone tells you; batcaps, batteries, isolators, etc...

if your running 2000 watts of nice clean power to those subs, you will be drawing ATLEAST 200 amps of current. you will definately need a H/O alternator.

if he really wants a pure SQ car this URAL deck is a very good foundation. Might be a pain to set up because of all the options.
but an on board RTA doesnt hurt either =). sorry to get off topic.

An RTA is only a tool and you cannot use it alone to make a vehicles audio system sound good. For that you must rely on a good set of ears, any person that knows about audio knows this.

I would take an Alpine 7998 over that deck anyway, Alpine is tried and true, that deck is what a year old?

i never mentioned it's the only thing in that deck that makes it good. if he's got a good set of ears he gets an RTA with the deck =). i just like to explore new products out there. its not a deck for everybody. anyways, back on topic, to the original poster, have you decided what to get yet?

Yea, the 7889 deck is a very good deck. And Thrill_House, I'm pretty sure it's a lot older than a year.

As for the system, I will probably be going with the eD's. And yes, hdave, the alternator is already included in this little "plan" of mine.

Heres the thing. I got a normal Motomaster battery in my car right now. It is so ridiculously drained, that, as soon as I get anywhere over half volume on the head unit or more than -15 on the Sub volume, my car drops to 10 volts. Not good, to say the least.

My main concern right now is a battery, but A few of my bills came in this weekend, so I can;t even buy one until a few weeks from now. After the battery comes the deck. Once it is properly tuned, I will buy the first eD amp (Might still go for Arcs, depending on my money situation).

Finally, in a few months, right when summer is close, or even here, I will get the second ID, the second eD (or Arc), a second battery (might even get a red top to put in the trunk), and the alternator.

Basically, it's a long way to go, but with time, I should have a pretty proper system. And honestly, out of all that, the enclosure will kill me the most. Ugh....

just take your time, no need to rush.
im a little biased to eD coz that's what I'm running. took me 2 months just to put in a component set, a 4ch amp and an 8inch sub together tied to a factory deck. it was worth the wait.
