possibly gonna have a new toy within the next two weeks

well my uncles friend is selling a 87 buick grand national, iv been dreaming of owning one of these cars for awhile now..he was asking 15,500 for it but my uncle talked him down to 12,500...he said he would hold the car for a month before he gets serious and puts it in the trader....im going to the bank next week with my grandmother whos going to co-sign forme, dun worry im still gonna keep my crx, the cars got 109k's on it, completly stock with nomdos what soever..no rust or anything, paint is perfect and interior is like new.....shlammed did a insurance quote on one and it was like 2800 or some **** a year so insurance aint to bad......iv gott he itch for a rwd muscle car once again as imiss ones that iv owned in the past (89 iroc-z 1le pc, 83 monte carlo ss)....these cars come with 245hp stock and 355lbs of torque....ill mod the motor a bit prolly, upgrade the turbo, do a ncie exhaust set up and such......prolly will b more of a weekend car then a everyday driver......if some of youdont know what a grand national looks like heres a pic of one....these were the fastest cars built back in the 80'sand gm stopped production b/c they were faster then there own supercar the "corvette", theres the big bad boyof the gn called the gnx, but there so rare and if u do find one ull paying out ur *** for it......

I called my insurance broker and she gave me a quote on a 87 Grand National that is $500 cheaper per year then my 89 civic hatch.

that car is a classic espically the GNX very rare and hard to find in good shape , Take care of it and you will make your coin back any day of the week when you get tired if it.

100 bux the quote wasnt' for a GNX

there is a mint one by my house....GNX are quick...but the potential is huge max out the stock setup first you will be in teh 12's I bet....and it's auto so you can eat a cheese burger and drag at the same time...

ya these cars hit 12's with minor modifications, the one im looking at getting is jsut a gn, not the gnx.....the gn is a bad *** car, the gnx is a super bad *** car but if u can ever find one they go for about 40g's+

ya no doubt, i past up an opportunity to get a real cheap 86 iroc camaro with the 350 and 5 spd... damn fast car... but i just couldn't support daily driving it

although wiht your grand national it may be fast but it can't compete with a v8 for sex appeal

I thought you owned one already??? or was that a different domestic??

another good reason to get it:

you can tow your CRX to and from the track with it
