Car Audio Installation
Can someone outline the steps to installing a sub and amp? I pretty much know what to do , I just don't know what to remove and how to get to the battery and behind the deck, to run the remote wire and the power wire? Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Daves right, make sure you have a good inline fuse. The fuse holders are fine, but the problem is the type of fuse.
Most car audio guys use who run 4awg wire or smaller, use an AGU fuse holder. (the ones that look like a little tube where a cylinder fuse goes inside)
These fuse holders are fine, but alot of companies that make the fuses dont do a good job and there is a high resistance in the solder used to attach the end caps on the fuse to the element inside.
They heat up, and things get hot and I have seen fuse holders melt in half because of this.
You can read the rest here.

The site in general is very good at explaining alot of stuff.
