Exhaust Fell Offf!!!

ok so im driving down the street and all of a sudden my exhaust sounds like it is 57" in diameter.. i get out to see and the exhaust , the part after the canister has come aparet form the pipe... is this welded on or bolted, i dont understand how it could just fall off, its now being held up by only the hangers and is hanging dangerously low

any help?

you mean the inner end of the muffler broke loose from the pipe?

Go buy a new muffler.

Usually rots out in that area....no big deal.

Happens often. Youll have to replace your muffler. When it happened on my old eg, I ended up getting exhaust done.

i have my stock exhaust from my sedan..that i took off when i put an sir one on there can i just put that one?

If it's not making any difference in the sound, you may as well rip it off. No sense driving around with a muffler that can fly off at any given moment.

However you risk getting a noise pollution ticket.

Bring your stock exhaust to an exhaust shop and have them weld it on.

would you guys trust canadian tire doing it? im in kitchener... anyone know any shops here? i called midas and they said 90 bucks... i remember Buddah did my old car for like 40 ...anyone?

its not rocket science, so yes canadian tire can do it without messing it up...

speedy might be more expensive, but more trust worthy, they do exhausts all day long
