Springs & Shocks combo

Alright.... I think I have narrowed my decision down to H&R sport springs, and either Koni Yellows or GR2's for shocks.

Anyone have any feeback/input on whether I should go with adjustable (Koni Yellows) or non-adjustable (GR2's) shocks in this case??

Paul

GR2 are the worst "performance" shock for our application. They are hardly any better than stock. In fact, I'd rather take stock replacement units than the GR2. For some cars they are good, but not in our case. Esp when you have a choice like Koni Yellow!!!

Whoa, you covered the oen of the best and one of the worst with those two options Forget GR2's if your lowering with them. I've never seen/rode in a lowered civic with gr2's that rode comfortably. Just ask shlammed (sorry buddy) For H&R Sports, you can't go wrong with shocks KYB AGX, Tokico Illumina or Koni Yellows.

Also, if you are looking for pricing on yellows and h&r's...look at pricing for the h&r cup kits. They may be cheaper depending on where you look and although they are not painted yellow...the shocks used in the the cup kit are koni's

Hey I'm going to have a similiar set up with Neuspeed springs (1.75 front / 1.5 rears) and Koni reds which ARE adjustable if you know how to do it. My friend's friend who owns a shop is going to adjust them for me when I change the suspension.

.....I heard the Tokico's have been known to have a leaking problem..... and since they are gas, it is hard to tell if they are leaking!!

most misinformed post today!!!

nitrogen charges are used to stop oil from foaming... it does NOT mean that there is no oil in the shock.

And Illuminas are warrantied, so leaks won't be a problem.

How do Koni Reds, Koni Yellows, and Tokico Illumina's compare in price?? (If I go with the Koni's.... I'm wondering if it is REALLY necessary to go with Yellows. I mean how often would you need to adjust your shocks anyway, for street driving??)
