i got my short shifter pretty much for free too. It's one of those steel cheapies. It's got AC scribbled onto it. Works just fine.

any short throw will do... so long as it isnt chince and gonna snap on you... i got a solo and a b&m... b&ms are cheap but i like it, does jus fine

The race version comes with all the bushings and plates ready for install. You will no longer need the OEM white bushing and boot at the pivot ball part.

Throw is really nice and firm. If you can sit closer/lower to the front, it will be a better piece otherwise you will have a hard time shifting to 5th. By hardtime, I don't mean super diffcult. It is just you might need to move your body a little to reach. But on track, 5th gear is less used (depends on which track).

I was selling mine, but after some thought, I am keeping it fow now, mainly because it is such a nice piece and also, people don't really see the value of it. I will lose way too much if I sell it at the price they want.
