**** , i got a major problem with the swap.....

i just swapped the engine in, and it started and ran...

but i didn't install the rear mount because i got kicked out of the garage...
so i drove it to the nearest shop.......but they were closed today...
then the shift linkage disconnects from the rubber mount,
, then later on, the engine was rocking back and forth so much that it snapped my CV joint/ axle in half.....

is it possible to used the stock civic CV/axle on my new b18b1
i had a dx motor with automatic tranny , and my new motor is the b18b1 with 5-speed
will the cv/axle be the same?
HELP

because you got kicked outta the garage? I thought Ken was doing your swap and it was complete Patrick?!!?!? Details man!

As for your question, I'll leave it to the tech experts to fill in.

i did the swap at the garage at school...

he did a 40 min labour to my car....(hooking up new wires, installing my hood, filling up clutch fluid)
and charged me $350!!!!!!
40 MIN or less of labour...

Isn't your old drive axle that brock a D series one...?

If so why would you want to rebuild it if Jugglez said DONT use the D series drive axle, you need the B18B drive axle.

Simple answer.

Maybe if you knew what you were doing.. you would have figured out to install all the mounts when doing the install.
