I had an MBRP fireball style universal muffler for 1 yr..it only had a 3" opening but the whole canister @ mid section was about 7" in diameter!! It was the loudest deepest muffler I've ever heard. It was insane to drive for more than 20 mins with it - so I sold it and went back to honda stock whisper quiet car..

if you want a custom exhaust go to brullen! their exhausts are top notch, my cousins friend had one on his eurospec M3...and it sounded nice n low for the low end, and like an F1 car up in the high revs....i know civic's are I-4 and bimmer's are I-6...but it is a good quality exhaust system, and can be tuned to your liking.
