Pauses when I turn the key
I went to start my car this morning and there was a pause of a few seconds after I turned the key. The engine started fine and sounded fine, but there was significant delay between turning the key and the engine turning over...WTF is it?

Or you were low on fuel.... All 6th gens take a little bit longer to start when they are low on fuel.
Also, the proper way to start a Honda/Acura is to:
- turn the key to the 'On' position
- wait until some lights in the dash turn off
- turn the key to crank it.
This allows the PCM/ECU to initialize properly and it also primes the fuel pump.

^ I'll give that a try. I am definitely low on fuel...I've got 430 on this tank, so it could be that. I'll try your method to starting and see if it makes a dif, then fill up today/tomorrow and see if it still does it.
bbarbulo, I had the clutch all the way to the floor...I thought it was that at first too.

So it delayed the cranking or delayed the running??
Cuz if it's cranking that was delayed, it can mean the clutch switch is out of adjustment, or the ignition cylinder is starting to go. Didn't 97s have a voluntary replacement on the ignition switch??
