Heys guys can someone please possibly help me. Ok this is my problem I came to my buddies place last night around 830, chilled and moked one and watched the protector movie and when I went to leave at like 1130 I went out to start my car(1990 civic Si auto) The damn key would not even turn an now im stuck here its 8am I tried again does anyone know whats wrong? it wont turn whatsoever . Now this is the coldest its been since ive owned the car but is it even possible for the ignition to freeze???? any help would super apprichiated at this point .

Try to turn the steering wheel to the left and turn the key at the same time. If you dont get it, try to jiggle the steering wheel a little while turning the key.

Also if it is auto may try this ...depress the button on the selector ..pull down to D2 or last postion and slide back up to park .

Thank you guys very much, My mom just stopped by with the spare key and I wiggled it and it started, I dont know I guess the original key is no longer any good well anyways it starts thank you guys

Seriously, that happened to my mom's civic and I think it has to do with teh shift solenoid within the shifter that doesn't detect the car is in the park position.

Yeah man i dunno no si buddy there always has smart remarks an I see no point in posting when its irrelevent. I wiggled the wheel both sides a million times an it only worked once i got the spare key so i dont know i dont mean to sound hostile but i hate postwhore ethugs who say dumb **** an laugh like haha im the master of honda, really man jus relax ill say chrissi can u help me if i want ur .02
