Well guys I have a 94 si coup with intake header and axel back exhaust........my question is. Should I continue to work on the d16z6 since it has low milege and already I H E. Or should I slowly build up a b18 which i have been thinking about. There is the option of selling my car.
I keep changing my idea's and im not interested in turbo. WHo has faith is the SOHC?
anyone have d16z6 with my work done to them?

I have faith in the SOHC ... since I won't be going to DOHC for awhile yet...

ask yourself this ... do you enjoy burning money? do you do it for the joy of doing so? if you answer yes then get the DOHC if you answer NO then stick with the SOHC...

reason I say this is your header is useless when you switch.

No faith in SOHC? How can you not have faith in Honda Motor? LOL

100K on mine since new with nothing changed except oil, to me, that's a good motor and I have tons of faith in it.

well i mean im not into all out performance...........i guess in the end i jus like tuning even if the results are not massive. Its just enjoyable to see how far you can take it.
I guess ill get enough satisfaction when one day I spank an SIR and tell him im SOHC
that would be worth it to me.

If you intend on keeping the car, then I don't see any problems in keeping your z6. A low mileage z6 is a great motor....I like mine, except for the fact that its not running well at all.

boostjunkie33 is the SOHC king...send him a pm....he knows d series motors inside and out.

I think it would be tougher to sell your car with a swap in it, and you might not get all the money that you invested in the swap in the first place.

And d16z6s are worth selling...they get no respect and nobody will pay anything for them no matter what the condition. A low mileage z6 is a rare find. I say, only swap if you need to.

If your on a low mileage z6 then keep it.. Just run it the way it is until it pops, then go ahead and swap.. Only reason I swapped is cuz i had 340KM on mine and a valve cracked.. Even now, I'm gonna do something with that z6 motor, not sure yet...
